Terms of sale.
What you are agreeing to when you buy something here.
Last updated: 1 September 2026
These terms are a contract between you and Alpha Numeric Multi-Media Ltd, trading as Made by Monolith, a company registered in England and Wales. You accept them when you buy something on jigdesigner.com.
What you can buy
- Jig files. A 3D model of your layout, sent to you as a 3MF file. You pay £4.99 for each different object the design holds, with no minimum and no maximum. Eight copies of the same card is one object and one charge. You do not need an account to buy one.
- What buying an object gets you. The object, not that one file. You can use it in any design, on any bed, at any size, and export it again as often as you like without paying again, for as long as we are trading. We record what you own against your account, so exporting it again later means being signed in to the account you bought it on. Buy while signed out and we will still send you the file, but there is nowhere for us to record the purchase - so make the account first if you want to come back to it.
- Licences. Two yearly subscriptions, Access and Maker. The licence terms set out what each one lets you do with a file.
- Print beds and calibration plates. Free, with no account. Use them however you like.
We are also building a printing service and some physical goods. Neither is on sale yet and neither has a price on this site.
Price and payment
Stripe takes the payment. We never see your card details. We are not VAT registered, so there is no VAT to add.
We work out the price on our own server from the design you sent, not in your browser. The figure in the designer should always match what you are charged. If it ever does not, please tell us, because something is wrong.
A design made only of objects you already own, or covered by a licence you hold, costs nothing. There is no charge and no payment step: we build the file and email it as usual.
Delivery
We build your file once the payment goes through, which usually takes a minute or two, and email the download link to the address you paid with. The link works for three days. After that, go to the downloads page, enter the same email address, and we will send you a new one. You can do this as often as you like, and you do not need an account.
The link also opens the design again in the designer, so you can put it on another bed or cut it for a different printer and export it again.
Your right to cancel
If you are a consumer in the UK or EU, you normally have 14 days to change your mind about something you bought online.
Jig files and licences are digital, and we deliver them straight away. Before you pay, we ask you to tick a box confirming that you want us to start immediately and that you understand you lose your 14-day right to cancel once we do. If you would rather keep that right, do not tick it. We will not build anything until you do.
If you take a licence and do not use it, we will refund it within the 14 days anyway.
This does not affect your rights if something is wrong. If a file is faulty, will not build, or is not what we described, you have your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Depending on the problem that may mean a repair or a replacement, or a price reduction or refund where the law requires it. Reply to your receipt and we will sort it out.
Subscriptions
Licences renew every year until you cancel. You can cancel any time from your account, using Stripe’s billing page. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the year you have paid for, and you keep the licence until then.
When a licence ends, so do the rights it gave you. Files you have already downloaded stay on your computer, but what you are allowed to do with them changes back. The licence terms explain this in full.
We will tell you before we change a price, and you can cancel instead.
What you may not do
- Sell, share or republish the files. A Maker licence lets you sell the jigs you print, not the files themselves.
- Share one account between several people or businesses. There is a limit of 100 downloads a day, per account or per email address where there is no account. It is there to stop anyone copying the whole catalogue, and you are very unlikely to reach it.
- Remove or hide the monogram engraved on a file that has one.
Accounts
You must be 18 or over to buy. An account is optional: you can design, price and buy a file without one. If you do have an account, keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under it until you tell us someone else has got in.
If something goes wrong
Email hello@jigdesigner.com and we will do our best to put it right. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
Changes
We may change these terms. The date at the top tells you when they last changed. Changes never apply to something you have already bought.
