Licence terms.
What you can do with a jig file, whether you bought it on its own or hold a licence.
Last updated: 1 September 2026
This page covers the files. The terms of sale cover the purchase itself. Where the two overlap, this page is the one that applies.
Buying an object
You buy the object rather than the one file it arrived in. Print it as many times as you like, for yourself or inside your own business, for as long as you like. Files have our monogram engraved in the corner. You cannot sell, share or republish the file, and you cannot sell the jigs you print from it.
Because you own the object, you can lay it out again on any bed, at any size, and export a new file without paying twice. Sign in to the account you bought it on and the designer marks it as yours.
Buying an object is a one-off. Nothing about it expires.
Access, £49.00 a year
Get 12 months' access to download every jig available now and in the future.
- Download anything in the catalogue and export your own designs, without buying objects one at a time.
- Print as many as you like, for yourself or inside your own business.
- Files still have the monogram on them, the same as a single purchase.
- You cannot sell what you print. That is what the Maker licence is for.
Maker, £149.00 a year
Everything in Access, without the monogram, and you can sell what you print.
- Everything the Access licence gives you.
- Files come out with no monogram.
- You can sell the jigs you print, as many as you like, with nothing to pay us per sale.
What the Maker licence does not cover
You can sell prints. You cannot sell files. Sell a jig you printed, yes. Sell, give away, share or publish the 3MF itself, no: not on a model site, not in a bundle, and not to a customer who asks for the file instead. Send them here.
You also cannot pass the designs off as your own and sell them as a set of files. The licence is for selling things you print, not for reselling the catalogue.
When a licence ends
The rights end with it. Files you have downloaded stay on your computer and we do not remove anything. But from the day a licence lapses:
- You can no longer sell prints made from the unbranded files.
- You can no longer download new files without paying for them.
- Jigs you already sold stay sold. Nothing you did while the licence was running becomes a problem afterwards.
Take the licence again and the rights come back. There is no penalty for a gap and no fee to rejoin.
Downloads
A licence lets you download as much as you want, up to 100 files a day per account. That limit is there to stop anyone copying the whole catalogue in one go. You are very unlikely to reach it, and if you do, tell us and we will sort it out.
The monogram
Branded files carry the Made by Monolith “m”, engraved into the bottom right corner of the layout. It is cut into the model rather than printed on, so it survives being printed in any material. Removing or hiding it breaks this licence. If you want files without it, that is what the Maker licence is for.
Your own designs
The layout you build is yours. We claim nothing over it and we do not use your designs for anything. We store them so you can come back to them, and for no other reason. What this licence covers is the geometry we generate from your layout.
