Cookies.
We set two cookies. Both appear when you sign in, and both are gone when you sign out.

Why there is no banner
You have to ask permission for cookies that are not strictly necessary: analytics, advertising, anything that follows you around. We use none of those. Both of ours are there to keep you signed in, which counts as strictly necessary.
If we ever add anything else, a banner will appear and this page will change with it.
The two cookies
- jd_session is set when you sign in and cleared when you sign out. It holds the token that proves you are you.
- It is marked HttpOnly, so no script on the page can read it, and SameSite=Lax, so other sites cannot send it. On the live site it is also marked Secure, so it is only ever sent over an encrypted connection.
- jd_hint is set at the same time and holds the single character 1. It says only that a session exists, so the account icon in the header knows whether to offer you Sign in or Your account without asking our server on every page. It carries no token, no name and no address, and it expires when the session does.
- Both work on this domain only, and last about two hours, after which you sign in again.
If you never sign in, you never get either. You can design a jig, see the price, buy the file and get another copy of it later without an account, so most people will never have a cookie from us at all.
Turnstile
Pressing Buy loads a check from Cloudflare to confirm you are a person, and that may set cookies on Cloudflare’s own domain. We only load it when you press the button, so browsing the site never involves them. There is more on the privacy page.
Clearing it
Sign out, or clear this site’s cookies in your browser. Nothing breaks. You are just signed out.
