What we collect, why we collect it, and who else sees it.

The data controller is Alpha Numeric Multi-Media Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, which runs jigdesigner.com and also trades as Made by Monolith.
Reading this site tells nobody else
Our pages make no requests to anyone else. There is no analytics, no advertising, no tag manager, no embedded video and no social widget. We serve the fonts from our own domain instead of Google’s, so loading a page does not tell anyone else that you did.
Our own server does log the request, as every web server does, and those logs hold your IP address. That is the one thing reading the site does record. More on it below.
Designing a jig collects nothing either. The designer runs in your browser, and your layout does not leave your computer until you choose to buy it or save it.
What we collect when you do something
- If you buy: your email address, the design you bought and what you paid. Your card details go straight to Stripe and never reach us.
- If you make an account: your email address, your name if you give one, the designs you save, and the list of objects you have bought - we hold that so you are not charged twice for the same one.
- When you press Buy: a one-off check from Cloudflare Turnstile to confirm you are a person. We load it at that moment, not when the page opens, so if you never buy anything you never contact Cloudflare.
- Server logs kept by our host for about 30 days, which include IP addresses and the pages requested. We use them to find faults and nothing else.
Why we are allowed to
UK GDPR asks us to name a lawful basis for each thing we do with your data, so here they are:
- Contract. Taking payment, building your file, emailing the download link, recording which objects you own and running your licence. We cannot sell you anything without doing these.
- Legal obligation. Keeping order and payment records for six years, for tax.
- Legitimate interests. Server logs and the Turnstile check, to keep the site working and to stop it being abused. We have weighed that against your privacy, which is why the logs are short-lived and the check only loads when you press Buy.
We do not rely on consent for anything, because there is nothing here that needs it: no analytics, no advertising and no marketing email.
Who else sees it
- Stripe handles payments and subscriptions. They control your payment details, not us.
- Cloudflare runs the Turnstile check on the buy button.
- Resend sends your receipt, your download link and any recovery emails.
- Supabase hosts the database our order records live in, in Europe.
- Netlify serves these pages.
Nobody else. We do not sell your data, we do not share it for advertising, and buying something does not add you to a mailing list.
Where it goes
Our order records are held in Europe. Stripe, Cloudflare, Resend and Netlify are US companies and your data may be processed outside the UK by them. Each is covered by the UK extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or by the standard contractual clauses the law requires, which is the arrangement that makes the transfer lawful.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for six years because tax law says we have to. We keep saved designs, and the list of what you own, until you delete them or ask us to close your account. If you park a design on the way to checkout without buying, it deletes itself within 24 hours. Download links last three days. Server logs last about 30 days.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict or object to what we do with it, or ask for it in a portable form. Email hello@jigdesigner.com and we will do it, within a month. Closing your account removes your designs. We have to keep the order records for the six years above, so we will tell you that rather than pretend otherwise.
If you think we have got something wrong you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s ICO, though we would rather you told us first.
